The suburbs of Swansea, Wales' second-oldest city, increase so far as the beautiful Gower Peninsula. A port within mouth of this River Tawe, the city expanded in dimensions due to the export of metal, coal and copper (the latter once very important so it leant Swansea its nickname of 'Copperopolis'). Whenever Wales' largest market is held in Swansea, the complete city pulses with visitors off to experience the brightly colored stalls with all types of food products. Delicacies include types of strong Welsh mozzarella cheese, mussels from nearby Burry Bay, and laver loaves of bread produced from seaweed and served with oatmeal. Although areas have been held within the streets of Swansea considering that the old, much of today's marketplace is held inside (and contains already been since the 1700s).
