
AGM, aka Many Thanks Ed and Darran!
On AGM on October 2nd, Ed Malarczyk and Darran Carpenter retired as Chairman and Secretary associated with the club. Thanks a lot men for all your persistence during the last couple of years, you will be a difficult act to follow along with!
The members, in their knowledge, elected Mike Dudley as brand new seat, our personal Richie 'Haggis' Harris as Vice-Chair, and Richard Hopkins as Secretary. One of the first items regarding to-do listing will be an overhaul for the web site, and we'll be trying to make it as easy as possible for you all getting content upon it (but no bad language, eh Paul!). Even more development because occurs.

2015 Membership and Team System:
For those who cannot know, membership works from January 1 to December 31, and next year remains at the more and more excellent worth £20 - please see John Hatfield.
In addition, for those who have a necessity for club kit, please have a term with Richie Harris at some point as there's a purchase going in.

Cwmcarn Paragon Christmas Club Run & Meal
We're going to meet at Blackwood and then leave at 11am to ride to Bryn Bach Park for Lunch. If you would like meal please guide right using them 7 days before. Costs will vary, however for £5 you're going to get a group meal & hot drink. Unless you need lunch, nonetheless come-along for a coffee. Option to go-by automobile if weather condition is just too bad. See Ed Malarczyk for more info.
Christmas Curry & Particular Date
Our company is wanting to arrange per night out and curry within Tamarind, Risca on Dec 15th. If you're interested please pay £5 deposit to Jodie Lloyd at Wednesday's track session or in the club on Thursday night (18th October). Lovers welcome.
Winter track sessions - 2012
Our Wednesday night track sessions start again on 17th October and can carry on through until (approx) the end of March 2013. Cyclists are going to be on the right track from 8pm to 9:30pm and every program will cost £5 per rider, plus £5 to participate the show. Kindly come by 7:45pm to secure a ride. We require no less than 24 cyclists, weekly to make the program financially viable.
Please be aware the maximum gear may be 91.8 inches ...we can review this within the new year. (14t rear sprocket - biggest chainring 47t - 15t rear sprocket, biggest chainring 51t).
Cwmcarn Paragon 80th Anniversary Bash
We are keeping a personal evening to commemorate 80 years of Cwmcarn Paragon Cycling Club on Friday 9th November.
You will see a Curry dinner (with vegetarian choice) and possible music enjoyment. Tickets cost £5.00 and generally are offered by Tony Carpenter on e-mail
Journey of Britain Club Ride - 14th September
Discover a Club trip to watch the Tour of Britain, I will be making the club house at 11:45am to meet at Bassaleg college about 12pm before heading to Caerphilly mountain. Several cyclists will also be satisfying at Newport Velodrome car parking at 11.15am. Can be found in complete club system for the annual biking Weekly photograph!

Cwmcarn Paragon Winter Track Sessions
This wintertime's track sessions will start on . Same format as past many years (8pm to 9:30pm). We shall proceed with the exact same pricing plan as last year .£5 to become listed on and £5 for every single program, thereafter. There's approx. This plan is subject to Newport's pricing framework.
This season, xmas and new-year autumn on or about Wednesdays ...so you will see a 2 few days break. You will see 10 sessions before xmas (seventeenth oct to Dec nineteenth, comprehensive) and 12 in the new year (9th January to March 27th). Just ten-weeks to wait patiently!!
For cyclists a new comer to the Track, Courtney Rowe and Newport Council have organised taster sessions through late August and September. Contact the velodrome for information.
4up Team Time Trials - final demand entries
We have been thinking about entering 2 staff time studies - Cwmcarn Paragon 4up TTT, R25/3H - 9/6/12 - 3pm begin. Port Talbot Wheelers 4up TTT, R25/3H - 21/6/12 - 6pm begin. Both price £32 for team of 4 (£8 each). If you're interested please bring a completed CTT entry form to you into club on Thursday (10th May). We also require marshals to help completely at our event, if you might help out please inform us.
Cwmcarn testers make a fantastic start to season

The Port Talbot Wheelers 2-UP 25, saw 49 teams racing on a training course which was a combination of dual-carriageway and undulating, turning B roadways. Cwmcarn, had been represented by Jodie Lloyd and Ed Malarczyk, and rising celebrity Jack Carpenter together with experienced Jon Vickery. Winner's of last year's battle Harris and Povall, had been missing, in their particular lack both teams ensured a Cwmcarn, triumph, with Lloyd and Malarczyk, making a great trip of 1hr 6mins 35secs, to just take top spot within the ladies' / Veteran's category, and 29th place overall. Carpenter and Vickery, managed to make it a double special event for Cwmcarn, their particular good time of 1hr 3mins 49secs, giving them success in Junior / Veteran group and 20th spot overall.
As in the Army CU, event it was another previous Cwmcarn star that produced one of many rides associated with time. Rebecca Aicheler, today Castle Bikes, teamed up with celebrated tester John Prithard, Port Talbot, to capture a fantastic period of 59.56, for 8th destination in general.
